This is a piece extremely close to my heart and it came to be through the BeeMORE Microbiology Summer Research Program I was a part of in the Summer of 2019 at North Carolina State University. I did research on carpenter bees and met the most amazing people working to save and/or study all types of amazing bees.

There’s actually more than 4,000 species of bees just in North America and 20,000 in the whole world! That’s a whole lot of bees which help the world go round.

I made this for my research crew so that we could have a sweater that represented our love and message about bees. However, it ended up too good to keep just for ourselves :) Peek the goodies section for more!
